How OpinionPoll handles information

Updated September 27, 2026. This plain-language product summary is not a substitute for a complete privacy notice. The operator and hosting details must be confirmed before relying on it as a legal policy.

What the service stores

OpinionPoll stores account information provided by Supabase Auth, workspace membership and roles, poll titles and questions, poll settings, submitted responses, and messages submitted through the contact page. A response email is stored only when the poll owner enables email collection. If a poll requires one response per account, the respondent’s account identifier is stored with the response to prevent duplicates; otherwise that identifier is not stored with the response.

Poll owners and respondents

Workspace members with appropriate access can view poll responses. Poll owners should tell participants what information they are collecting and avoid requesting information they do not need. The service currently provides workspace access controls; it does not provide organization-specific data retention or deletion schedules in the app.

Optional AI processing

AI analysis is disabled by default and requires a poll owner to enable it. The poll creator or a workspace owner/admin must then request each analysis. The service sends only free-text answer contents to its configured AI provider, without question wording, poll title, respondent email, account identifier, or choice answers. It reviews up to 60 recent responses, with a 24,000-character limit, and does not save the generated analysis. Provider availability, data handling, and retention depend on the administrator’s configuration and must be reviewed before enabling this feature.

Service providers and transfers

The application uses Supabase for authentication and data storage. The application may also send requested AI text to an administrator-configured provider. The exact hosting locations, subprocessors, transfer safeguards, log retention, and deletion timelines have not yet been fully documented here.

Questions and requests

Use the contact page for privacy questions or account requests. A complete notice should identify the operator and explain applicable rights, retention, cookies, and jurisdiction-specific details.
